My best guess is that the game attempts to read the OpenGL library directly from the "gl" folder instead of the operating system's default location ("C:\WINDOWS\system32\opengl32.dll"), causing it to flip. Ultimately, I decided to delete the folder's contents entirely, and the problem was solved.
